The Program
For additional information — including fee schedules, processing procedures, frequently-asked questions and other details about how to benefit from eSecuritel’s Wireless Handset Protection Program — please refer to your Program brochure or visit the website listed in your brochure.In general, to be eligible to file a claim, you will need to:
- Be the account holder
- Report the claim within 60 days of the incident
- Provide proof of ownership (if requested)
- Provide proof of loss (if requested)
To Replace a Lost, Stolen or Damaged Phone
To file a claim, please be ready to provide the following when you call:- Your wireless phone number
- Name of your wireless equipment manufacturer and handset model
- Date you purchased your wireless equipment
- Police report, case number, and police department name (if equipment is lost or stolen).
Other Important Information
Note: Your specific program details will depend on the program eSecuritel has with your Carrier. Please refer to the terms and conditions in the brochure given to you by your carrier or available on your carrier's website.- The damaged handset must be returned; your replacement handset will include packaging for returning your damaged handset.
- If the original phone model is not available, claims may be fulfilled with a similar model handset of kind and quality.
- Claims may be fulfilled with a remanufactured phone that may have minor cosmetic flaws.
- There is a two-claim limit within any 12-month period, beginning with the date of the first claim.
- Claims need to be filed within 60 days from the date of loss or damage.
- If your phone is stolen, simply report the incident to the police department and obtain a case number. This number will be needed to process your claim. This may also be necessary if the phone is lost.
